Our Avocados

At Aberdare Ridge Organic Farms, we specialize in two world-class avocado varieties:

Hass Avocado

Appearance: Dark green when unripe, turns purplish-black when ripe.

Taste: Rich, creamy texture with a nutty flavor.

Shelf Life: Long shelf life, making it ideal for export.

Harvest Season: Main season (June–September) and off-season (November–February).

Popular Uses: Guacamole, spreads, salads, and export markets.

Fuerte Avocado

Appearance: Pear-shaped with smooth green skin.

Taste: Buttery flavor with slightly lower oil content than Hass.

Shelf Life: Shorter than Hass but highly popular in local and regional markets.

Harvest Season: March–September.

Popular Uses: Fresh consumption, smoothies, salads, and local cuisines.

 We take our post-harvesting seriously, where we wash, disinfect, sort, and pack our avocados in export-grade cartons and add traceable stickers.  Afterwards, all our packed fruits undergo precooling at 5-7 degrees C  to slow ripening as they arrive at your location.
